A snowboarder stranded in steep alpine terrain was successfully rescued this week using a helicopter equipped with the Boost Human External Cargo (HEC) System, underscoring the growing role of certified external load technology in mountain rescue operations.

The incident took place in remote, snow-covered terrain where landing was not possible and ground access was severely restricted. Search and rescue crews deployed a light utility helicopter fitted with the Boost HEC System to conduct a long-line extraction, allowing a rescuer to be lowered directly to the snowboarder.
